School Wide
State Testing
May 12-23 for All Students
May 27-30 for 8th Only (Science Exam)
It is time for state testing again. These exams are known as the California Assessment of
Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP). All parents should have received, via email, a letter from the district regarding these exams. Click here to see a copy of the letter.
These tests require a lot of focus and energy. During these weeks, we need your help from home. Please make sure your child does the following during testing time:
-
gets a full night sleep (at least 8 hours)
-
gets a nutritious breakfast before coming to school
-
arrives to school on time, avoid absences, and does not leave school early for appointments or non-emergency reasons.
These simple things go a long way to reduce stress and help a student feel more confident while taking these tests.
